Amazon today just announced their brand new Kindle Fire HD. This isn’t just an update to last year’s Kindle Fire, this is a whole new device. The new Kindle Fire will sport either a 7-inch display or a new 8.9-inch display as well as a TI OMAP 4470 processor, dual speakers, a front-facing HD camera, and HDMI out. The new screens are also said to be much better with improved ability to reduce glare while the body itself will be thinner and lighter than the outgoing model. Pricing will start at $199 for the 7-inch 16gb model while the 8.9-inch 16gb model will come in at $299. To say the pricing is very competitive would be an understatement. Look for both today as you’ll be able to pre-order them on Amazon shortly.
