Pink Nintendo 3DS Bundles Inbound – Includes Nintendogs + Cats

November 28, 2011 1 comment

Nintendo will be releasing a new Pink Nintendo 3DS bundle starting December 4th that will include a copy of Nintendogs + Cats. There will be two different versions of the bundle but each will come with the same Pink 3DS. The price of each bundle is $169.99 which is the same price as the standard 3DS. It’s not a bad deal for a limited edition color and free game. Obviously this bundle is strictly for the girls.

Nintendo DS Lite Priced at $99.99 Starting June 5th

The Nintendo DS Lite is in my opinion the greatest handheld that Nintendo has ever created. An evolution of the original DS “fat”, the Lite version came in an attractive slimmer package that played both DS and Gameboy Advance games. Later DS handhelds did away with the Gameboy Advance slot which made them far less appealing in my opinion.

If you don’t already own one, Nintendo today announced that the DS Lite is now $99.99 starting June 5th! That means that anyone with a budget can pick up one of Nintendo’s greatest handhelds. I’m actually going to pick up another one at this price due to the fact that my son is pretty rough with my current DS Lite so it would be nice to have a backup unit when the current one eventually bites the dust. I’ve also heard that the DS Lite will eventually be discontinued which is another reason to pick another one up at this price before they are all gone.

New Okamiden Trailers Show Off Brand New Characters – Aji, Umami, and Charity

February 24, 2011 Leave a comment

Capcom has some brand new trailers for their upcoming Nintendo DS game, Okamiden. These two trailers feature three brand new characters to the series, Aji, Umami, and Charity.

• Umami and Aji – Umami and Aji are two cooks who prepare meals for Orochi. They were considered to be without peers in the demon world, but now their status as master chefs has come under threat from the humans. Sweet (Tsumami) has imbued her dishes with a secret liquid of her own concoction. What effect this has on the food it is prepared with is unknown as Orochi is the only one who has tasted its culinary goodness.

• Charity (featured with Umami) – Charity is Manpuku’s mother.  After vigorously studying the art of cooking for Manpuku, she is now able to create the finest dishes out of the simplest of weeds.  However, it is because of this skill that she is sought after by Orochi and is kidnapped by the demons

If you want to demo Okamiden for the Nintendo DS, the Okamiden demo is now available in the Nintendo Channel for a limited time. You’ll be able to get a brief sample of the game as well as being able to test out the new partner system.
