I don’t know if this is true for any of you, but I know that in my case, I do a lot of my holiday shopping around this time thanks in part to some pretty decent deals. I’ll admit though that this year, I didn’t really pick up much as there really wasn’t much I needed. I did buy a few things though and here’s what I picked up:
- SanDisk 128GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter ($19.99) – I had to pick one of these up as I think this is the cheapest a 128gb card has ever been. My wife is always complaining about running out of space for photos on her phone so this was the perfect buy for her. Now she has plenty of memory to take all the photos she wants.
- Google Home Mini ($25) – My son actually wanted one of these for his room and at $25, it’s pretty cheap. That’s about $5 cheaper than it was last year on Black Friday. Also if you buy this at Target using your Target Red Card, that’s an extra 5% off too.
- WD Easystore 4TB External USB 3.0 ($79.99) – I picked one of these up so I could back up all my digital photos locally. I know 4TB is a lot, but this is the same price that 2TB normally is. Also, when you buy it at Best Buy, it includes a free 32gb thumb drive. This is also a good option too if you need an external hard drive for your PS4.
- 12-Month Subscription to PSN ($39.99) – Technically my subscription doesn’t end until April of 2019, but at $39.99, I decided I might as well buy an extension now so I won’t have to worry about it later and risk having to pay full price. I had to buy two of these though, one for me and one for my son.
And that’s pretty much all I bought. Surprisingly I didn’t buy any games this year as there wasn’t anything I didn’t already have or need. Plus games go on sale pretty much all year round so it wasn’t something I was really looking to buy.
With that said, what did some of you end up buying? Did you buy stuff you actually needed or did you end up also buying things you didn’t just because they were on sale? Let me know in the comments below.
