Today Google released their new subscription service, Google Play Pass. At $4.99/month, it’s similar to Apple’s new Apple Arcade service. You’ll get access to more than 350 apps and games that are completely unlocked—all free of ads, in-app purchases and upfront payments.
Play Pass is coming to Android devices in the U.S. this week, and we’ll be bringing it to additional countries soon. You can even get a special 10-day free trial and after that, subscribe for $1.99 for the first 12 months. That’s one heck of a deal. Unlike Apple Arcade, Google Play Pass also includes apps, not just games. There aren’t exclusive apps or games either but you’ll know which apps and games are part of the service by looking for the Play Pass “ticket.” You can even share your Play Pass with up to 5 family members.
Once Play Pass is available on your Android device this week, you can start your free trial by simply opening the Play Store app, tapping the menu at the top left, and looking for “Play Pass.”
