Big Sticky is a new platform game from developers BIG BAD BRUSH. Like their previous games before this, it too features new and unique gameplay that most should find rather entertaining. Big Sticky blends platforming action with a bit of a puzzle element to it. As with previous games, Big Sticky too features quite a strange storyline. In the game, you play as a purple frog prince who is in search of his princess. By using the power of his tongue, Sticky, the purple frog prince, must swing his way through short, but challenging levels in order to get to the end and save the princess.

Each level is laid out like a platforming level. There are three flowers you can collect in each level as an added challenge, but it’s not necessary to get them to make it to the end. You’ll most likely pick up all 3 flowers anyways on your way to the end of the level. Big Sticky requires a lot of tapping to get where you need to go. You tap in the area you want your frog to shoot his tongue and you hold it there to let him swing. Let go to have him release his tongue and tap in a new area to have him shoot it again. Think of it like web-slinging with Spider-man, but instead of webbing, its your tongue. Swing from platform to platform until you make it to the end, just don’t fall or you’ll have to start all over. Watch out for obstacles too that can make you fall as well.

The graphics in the game are good. Level designs are are a bit basic, but they are laid out in such a way where it is still challenging and some levels require multiple tries. The character of Sticky is fun looking, very cartoony, but should appeal to both young and old. There is lots of audio in this game as well. Each level is filled with background music and almost every action in the game has a corresponding sound effect. I’m glad the developers took the to add all these details as it really adds to the value of the game.

Big Sticky does a lot to differentiate itself from other platform games. The puzzling element adds to its uniqueness as well as its rather unique gameplay mechanics. There are 51 levels to pass so the game itself is a bit long and isn’t one of those games that you can finish in 10 minutes. What you can do is play a few levels at a time whenever you have time. Big Sticky can be played by children with an art style that appeals to them, but the game is challenging enough for adults to play as well without it feeling like it’s too easy. Big Sticky is a fun little game that most people should enjoy.

ORIGINAL GAMEPLAY
Big Sticky utilizes original gameplay through simple sticking and swinging controls. Touching the screen will propel Sticky’s tongue out allowing it to stick to objects above and swing across the screen. Using this swinging action, Sticky must save the princess hidden in each level. Beware of the castle’s many obstacles though. You never know what is lurking around the corner!

ENCHANTED WORLDS
This castle must have been one lonely and jealous individual. Not only did he kidnap one, but he kidnapped ALL the princesses in the world. Sticky must search all the castle doors and rescue them. Prepare to swing through 5 beautifully illustrated castle worlds filled with a total of 51 platform puzzle levels.
