T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G Unboxing Impressions

T-Mobile expands their REVVL line with the new REVVL 7 Pro 5G. This is a new mid-range phone featuring a large 6.78” FHD+ AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, 5000 mah battery, quad camera system, and 15W wireless charging just to name a few.

DESIGN

Here’s where a majority of the first impressions will come from so it’s important that T-Mobile makes the packaging memorable. The T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G comes in a black and magenta box similar in size to what you’ll see now with an iPhone and Galaxy phones. Opening the box reveals a magenta interior box containing documentation, a USB-C charging cable, and a sim tray removal tool.

Removing the box will reveal the REVVL 7 Pro 5G.

The REVVL 7 Pro 5G is a handsome device that only comes in one color – Azurite Blue. This is present on the back of the phone. It’s an interesting color that looks quite dark, but in the light, it shines. It almost has a metallic look to it and I really like the way it reflects light. Because it is matte, it really brings out the color. I should note that the back plate seems to be made of plastic, but because of the special color, it doesn’t look cheap.

While still on the back of the phone, the placement of the cameras is nice and the camera hump itself is interesting. It gives me Galaxy S21 vibes and looks quite handsome and clean. It has a quad camera system, and based on the specs, you’re looking at – 50MP (wide), 5MP (wide), 2MP (macro), and a 2MP (depth).

Moving on to the border of the phone, this is made of metal and is presented in a really dark, shiny blue (almost violet) color. Buttons are placed on the right side – typical volume button and a magenta colored power button. What you’ll find interesting on the bottom of the phone is the inclusion of an audio jack. I think it’s funny that these mid-range phones still give you this as an option while all the high-end devices have taken this away.

Now onto the front screen. It’s a bit raised in comparison to the edges of the border and does have a slight curve to it. The rest of the display is flat though. There is a small bezel around the display, but it’s not that noticeable except for at the top and bottom. There is also a small pinhole camera at the top of the display.

That’s pretty much it for the design of the phone. The REVVL 7 Pro 5G is a pretty good looking phone. Even though the back of it is plastic, it looks really good and doesn’t look cheap at all. The color is really nice and I like the look of the rear cameras.

FINAL THOUGHTS

If we based our review later fully on the looks, the REVVL 7 Pro 5G would get fairly high marks. For a mid-range phone, it doesn’t look cheap at all and the combination of the color and rear cameras gives it more expensive look. Overall, I’m eager to put the phone through its paces to see if the specs and software match its looks.
