Starting with this post, I will be posting up some regular EPIC FAIL! moments that I come across while gaming. These could be anything from massive game glitches or just hilarious moments while gaming with friends. I did a previous post earlier this week about my EPIC FAIL buffalo hunting experience entitled “When Shooting Buffalo, Pay Attention to your Surroundings.” You can read that here.
Today’s EPIC FAIL moment is no different. It also involves a train. I have a sinking feeling that all the trains that appear in Red Dead Redemption are out to sabotage all my missions. Case in point, this happened to me last night during a cattle herding mission.
On this particular mission, I had to herd the cows to a grazing pasture. Sure. Sounds simple enough. Just direct them to where they need to go. So all was going smoothly until all of a sudden, the entire herd went berserk and started to stampede. My mission now was to ride ahead of them in order to stop them. As I began to spur my horse so that I could catch up to my herd, I notice a train coming along and sure enough, that’s where my cows were heading. I watched in horror as each and every one of my cows stampeded right for the tracks while said train proceeded to plow through them! Oh the carnage! That’s right. Again, a train completely screws up my efforts and causes me to have to reload the entire mission again.
I just find it funny that the train, which is pretty random in the game and just goes in a huge endless loop always somehow ends up near where I am trying to complete a mission and completely fucks it up for me. I can’t complain though because it is quite honestly some of the most fun I have when things go horribly wrong.
