If you’ve been itching to get your hands on World of Goo for your iPhone or iPod Touch, your wait is almost over. This Thursday, 2D Boy will be releasing the much anticipated iPhone / iPod Touch version of World of Goo for a low $0.99. This is 24 hour special though so after that, the price will go to $2.99 forever.

Good news however to those who already own the iPad version of the game. 2D Boy will be update World of Goo HD and make it a universal app allowing those who had already purchased it access to the game on their iPhone / iPod Touch. I have to give 2D Boy props for updating the HD app and allowing those early adopters such a great bonus by making the app universal instead of forcing them to repurchase the game if they wanted it for thie other devices as well.

Look for the iPhone / iPod Touch only version of the game this Thursday in the App Store.
