Sea Match is new kids matching game from developers Minimax Games. This game is similar to their other game, Matching Animals, except that this one is based on ocean animals. As with Matching Animals, Sea Match is an educational game geared towards younger players. This is a standard memory matching game where players flip over two tiles to see if they match. If they don’t, you keep trying until you find a match. Players continue this until they find all the matching pairs.

Gameplay is simple enough for any child to learn. They’ll be able to jump right in and start playing as everything in the game is tap based. There are options in the settings menu that allow you to adjust the difficulty settings in the game so you may want to do that for them until they learn to do it on their own. Game boards can range from anything between a 2×3 board to a 4×5 board. Most kids should be able to go straight to the 4×5 board after a few rounds of the easier games.

Graphically, the game is perfect for children. All the animals are designed to be fun and cute looking and everything in the game is very colorful and bright. The sound effects and music too are perfect and really add to the stimulation of children as we all know, children will play games that are more audio and visually stimulating.

If you’re looking for a good memory matching game for your toddler, Sea Match has what you are looking for. With various difficulty settings, children unfamiliar with memory games will be able to ease into it and increase the difficulty as they get better. With the cutesy way they depict sea animals here and how colorful everything is in the game as well as all the great sound effects, your kids should really enjoy this. Sea Match can be played by very young children. I would say that if they are old enough to know how to tap on a screen, they’re old enough to play this game. Minimax did a great job with Sea Match and it’s a nice evolutionary step from the last matching game.

Sea Match is available now in the App Store for $0.99. It is a universal app and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 3.0 or later.
