Monsters Chorus is a children’s musical app from developer ReignDesign. It is very similar to a piano app except that instead of tapping on piano keys, you are tapping on adorable little monsters that each sing a specific note. Monsters Chorus allows children to explore the world of music in a fun way by making it entertaining. Not only will they be able to randomly tap all the monster and free-play, they’ll also be able to learn 4 four classic children’s songs as well.

As with most children’s games/apps, the art style in Monsters Chorus is very cute and cuddly. The characters are quite colorful and each is different to represent a different musical tone. To make each monster sing, players just tap on them to make sounds and can even tap on multiple monsters to combine sounds. The app is also very speedy and I didn’t notice any lag with it like I’ve encountered with a few other “piano” type apps.

One of the more unique features of Monsters Chorus is the fact that you can record your own sounds and have the monsters play them back for you. You can only record a short sound but the app will adjust toe tonal range for each monster. It’s a nice feature and one that kids will find rather fun as it’ll allow them to customize the app a bit.

Monsters Chorus is an app that will appeal to most children. The monsters featured in the app are cute and friendly looking. The biggest draw here of the app is that children will be able to learn how to play a few songs using Monster Chorus that should translate into being able to play it on a piano, that’s of course if they can remember the tones. As an introduction to playing music, it’s a nice way to get them into it without making them feel like you are forcing them to learn. It’s really more like a game or something cute to do that seems fun but is really educational.
