We used to give you promo codes for Touchybooks line of interactive storybooks on iOS and always found them to be quite enjoyable for children. Well, TouchyBooks had officially relaunched earlier this year as PlayTales and have still been fairly successful. Well now, PlayTales will be launching an all new PlayTales Gold bookstore that will feature a new subscription based model.

The downloading of the PlayTales Gold bookstore itself will be free and require a subscription paid for on a monthly or yearly basis. This fee will allow users to view all of the PlayTales library during their subscription time. That means for $3.99 a month, they can view hundreds of PlayTales storybooks within their subscription time.

What’s great too is that when the app finally arrives later this month, first time downloaders will be offered a free 7-day free trial to the service to check out what it has to offer. Not bad.
