Doomsday Preppers is based on the National Geographic show of the same name and is by G5 Entertainment. If you’ve never watched the show, basically you’re tasked with building a multi-level bunker underground in order to survive post-apocalyptic life. I would classify Doomsday Preppers, the game, as a time management sim as well as a tower building sim, but in downwards instead of upwards. It similar to the popular Tiny Towers game where you must build floors, get people to move in, assign them to jobs, and make money in order to build even more floors and attract more residents.

You start off the game by going through a brief tutorial that teaches you how to build up each floor and how to make gold in order to sustain your bunker. You’ll be able to build 1 shelter at first which will house 5 residents as well as an additional floor for them to work at. Each specialized floor allows for 3 workers to be assigned to it. The more workers you have, the greater the item can be made that is worth more gold. Again, it’s very similar to other games of this type so if you’ve played those, you’ll understand easily how to play this.

Overall, Doomsday Preppers is a neat entry in this genre. Even if it didn’t have the affiliation with the National Geographic show, it would still be a very solid game. As an added bonus, if you have friends that play this game as well, you can easily connect to their bunkers as well through Facebook or friend codes and visit their underground bunkers for added supplies.
