Jetpack Jinx is a casual endless jumping style game from Bubblegum Interactive. You play as Jinx who has crash landed on an unknown planet. Help Jinx fly up to space and back to his ship before anyone finds out that he’s missing. Basically, what you’ll be doing is directing Jinx upwards through the sky collecting jewels that he uses as fuel for his jetpack. The more jewels you collect, the higher up into the sky Jinx can fly. Make sure not to run into any enemies however or you’ll lose all your jewels and plummet back to the ground.

The game itself is pretty easy to play, but that’s not to say it isn’t challenging. The control scheme is pretty basic with you only having to tilt your device left or right to move Jinx around the screen. He’ll automatically move up or down depending on the amount of jewels you collect. What’s interesting however about the game is that Jinx can completely wrap around the screen meaning if you move him completely left of the screen, he will go off the end and come back on the right of the screen. He is not limited by an invisible border.

Other than that, Jetpack Jinx makes for a good addition to this crowded genre. It’s a fun casual game that you can pick up and play to waste time and like with all these types of games, it sucks you in as you try and see how far you can get each time.

Jetpack Jinx is available now in the App Store for free. It is a universal app and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad.
