Domo The Journey is an action side-scrolling platform game from Horse Feathers and Playlithium. If you’re a fan of Domo, you’ll probably want to check this out. AS the story goes, Domo and his friend Tashanna are out on a lovely day when all of a sudden, Tashanna is kidnapped by the angry Hungry Bear. Domo will have to travel through 5 unique zones and fight through dangers in order to rescue his friend. In traditional platform gaming form, you will need to run and jump your way to victory as you collect coins and powerups while defeating enemies to reach your goal.

I’ll start with the graphics first. The game has a very, paper cutout look to it similar to those Nintendo Paper Mario games. The foreground and the background move independently of each other so it does give the flat 2D graphics some depth. Everything in the game is very colorful and for the most part, a good looking game.

As for gameplay, it follows a pretty standard platform gaming formula. Move Domo right to get to the end. You’ll be jumping a lot and defeating enemies along the way while also collecting loot. You control Domo using a standard virtual directional pad along with accompanying action buttons.

Domo The Journey is a good platform game. It follows a traditional platform game formula and doesn’t do much new, but it does deliver a solid gaming experience. I don’t know if it’s faithful to the whole Domo franchise however, as I don’t really know too much about Domo aside from the plush toys I see, but Domo fans should enjoy this game.
