I came across this app by accident and stopped to check it out because it had a pretty catchy icon. After reading the description, I decided to download it. Postale is a postcard creating app. What that means is that on your travels, you can use any of the many photos you take on your vacations and use them to make custom, one of a kind postcards that you can send to friends and family through email, messaging, or through Facebook and Twitter.

Postale makes it easy to create custom postcards. Just tap “create a new card” to get started. Right now, there are only 4 simple layouts to choose from and 7 themes you can apply to those layouts. For the most part, I think most people would stick to the traditional postcard layout of either portrait side-by-side or landscape side-by-side. From there, just apply a theme. Once you choose your layout, you’ll go into the customize screen that allows you to add your photo, a title, and your message. Photos can be either imported from the camera roll or you can take a photo directly from the camera. For text, just type whatever you want with the ability to use a variety of different font types and colors. After you’ve completed the customization, you can then add 1-of-30 different stamps to finish off your design with that authentic postcard look. From there, you can email or post your postcard to Facebook or Twitter.

Overall, Postale makes postcard creation easy. If you want a simple app to make postcards that you can email or post to social networks, this might be the app for you especially with its ease of use. However if you want an app that lets you print our your postcards, this app doesn’t have that. Your postcards here remain only in digital form.
