GazziliMath is an educational math app for children. The app is meant for preschoolers who are just learning about numbers, counting, and basic mathematics. It does this in a fun manner that should appeal to most children. GazziliMath keeps things interesting by using a visit at the zoo as the theme for learning. Every element of the zoo going experience is followed by a new mathematical concept that is presented in a way children can understand and relate with.
I’ll start this off by saying that the overall presentation of the app is really awesome. It’s graphically good looking with lots of really bright colors, fun characters, and tons of animations. GazziliMath even has a full compliment of upbeat music, sound effects, and narration.
GazziliMath features 6 different activities, numerals, counting, adding one, ten, subtraction, and halves. What’s neat is that the app starts off with simple number association. You can’t move on to the other more advanced concepts unless you finish and learn the easier stuff. It’s locked until you complete all the lessons in order. I went through some of the lessons as my kid played them and they are pretty straight forward and easy to understand. They go through each lesson several times so it does teach by repetition which is good for children.
Overall, GazziliMath is a very good math app for children. In fact, I would rank it up there as one of the few really good ones I’ve seen for young children just learning about their numbers and basic math principles. I think the main reason I find that it’s good is because how fun it makes math. The zoo theme is very helpful as is the fact that there is a lot to see in the app and it’s not all just about numbers.
