“Five little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bopped his head.” How many of you remember this nursery rhyme song from when you were young? I remember having to sing it in preschool though now that I’m a parent, I don’t ever remember singing it to my kids. Well, I don’t have to now because there’s an app for that and it comes from Kids Academy. 5 Little Monkeys is an interactive sing-a-long app in which children can learn this famous nursery rhyme while watching a cute animation that goes with it and interacting with the environment.
For starters, yes, this app is only for one song. Basically you are purchasing an interactive musical app that will teach children the song “5 Little Monkeys” in a cute and fun way. Children can sing along with the app while watching cute monkeys performing every part of the song. The animations are quite good and funny and I think children will enjoy it. The only issue with the game though is that I wish they would had captions to it so they could also read along with the song.
Despite this, 5 Little Monkeys is a fun little app. Supposedly the app will aid in language development as well as helping with memorization skills and pattern recognition. All I know is that my little one loves singing along with it and tapping all over the screen to interact with the monkeys. As long as they think the app is fun, that’s all that really matters, right?
