I’m glad to see Sony is off to a great start supporting the PlayStation 4 with promt firmware updates. After less than a week of being out, there is a new firmware update 1.51 available for all PS4 users. A PS4 system software update is required to use PSN^S features and some features on your system. Also, by updating the system software of your PS4 system, you can enjoy various additional features and enhanced security. Always update to the latest version.

This update is small though and is mainly for “System software stability during use of some features has been improved.”

There are several ways to install this update. You can have it automatically update from your PS4 or you can manually grab the update from their support site, here and apply the patch manually if you don’t have an internet connection.
