Are you into photo editing but want something a bit different than what you’ve been using lately? Do you want to give your photos a more creative look without a lot of effort? Check out FLIP by Printzel. FLIP is a photo editing app that does one thing and one thing only and that is to remix your photos to look like crazy, grid based collages. Basically what it does is it takes your one photo and allows you to chop it up with a series of flips to form what resembles those old, tile based sliding puzzles we used to play as kids.

FLIP is a really simple app to use since it only really does one thing. All you do is swipe up, down, left, or right and it will cause the photo to flip itself. Each flip will either reverse the photo or cause he photo to split itself into grids. With each flip of the photo, more and more grid sections are added causing the photo to look completely different from its original form. It’s actually a really neat effect. In fact, if you really wanted to, you could use this as sort of a game really and have people guess what the real photo really was of. After you’re finished remixing your photo, you can then share it to any number of social media sites and photo sharing services as well as saving it to your camera roll or emailing it.

FLIP is a rather interesting app. Its one function may seem like it’s not worth the purchase as well as its simplistic nature, but I think it’s a cool app to play with. I don’t know how many times I would actually use it but it I would probably use it every now and then if I wanted to distort my apps and have people kind of guess what my initial photo was of. In fact, I’m sure I would have fun using this on several of my Instagram photos. Since the app is free right now for a limited time, it’s worth checking out.
