Photos are relatively good when taken on an iPhone, but they can be a bit boring to look at. This is mainly because when using the built-in camera app, you have very little control over what you can do with the camera, besides setting a focusing point and applying an AE/AF Lock. One of the things I love doing with a regular camera is having the background all blurry while my subject stays in focus. This allows you to emphasize the main subject while adding a neat look too the background that more often than not also include some bokeh. Tadaa SLR is a simple app that allows you to snap a photo or use an existing photo, apply a mask to the areas you want to be in focus, and then automatically apply a blurring effect to the background. The app makes it simple to do too by being able to automatically detect the edges of the subject you want masked and if you need to be more precise, you can zoom into your photo and mask the details in. You can even turn off the auto detect and do it manually. After you’ve masked off your image, you can adjust both the amount and type of blur used.

The app also includes some basic photo editing features as well. You can adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation of your photos as well as applying a vignette and the ability to crop. not only that, there is a huge assortment of photo filters you can use.
