For fans of zombie games who have to try playing anything zombie related, check out Zombie Rage. It’s a new game on Android that features lots of zombies in a horde mode type game where endless waves of zombies come at you as you try to survive for as long as you can. What’s different about this game is that you don’t kill zombies with guns or any type of lethal weapon. Instead you are using rocks that you fling across the screen using a slingshot type of mechanism and kill zombies like that. It weird and different, but it’s free so doesn’t hurt to try it out.

The game is fairly simplistic in that you just pull back on the sling shot and fling rocks in every which direction. You aim basically the same way you would in Angry Birds, but unlike that game, you have unlimited ammo. That makes spamming the playing field fairly easy and you’ll be able to mow down most zombies quickly. There are giant bruiser type zombies that take more hits to put down but you can use power ups that you gain to quickly deal with those. Power ups are gained by killing zombies and you just throw a rock at them to collect them. Tap on the power up in your inventory to use them.

As you progress, waves of zombies will increase with more and more of them coming at you at once. I suggest saving up your power ups and only using them for the larger zombies.

Overall, Zombie Rage is a decent time waster for the price, which is free. It’s not the best zombie game out there nor the best looking by far, but it’s fun if you just want to play a quick game.
