Adult Swim Games and developer Double Fine Productions today announced one of the weirdest games I’ve seen this year, HEADLANDER. Headlander is a a retro-futuristic, side-scrolling, action-adventure game set in a world inspired by 70’s science fiction.It is a world of automation, a utopia gone wrong in which all of humanity have transferred their minds into robotic imposter bodies and are ruled by a deranged computer.

What?

All I saw in the video were freaking flying heads that are able to attach themselves to different robot bodies, which looks incredibly cool and incredibly weird.

Headlander launches late July on PlayStation 4 and PC.
