While lengths like this wouldn’t have been possible before, they are now because of the optical fiber and active chipset that helps support 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz uncompressed video. They call this Active Optical Cable (AOC) and has been certified by an HDMI authorized testing center. You’re looking at 48Gbps bandwidth, Dynamic HDR support, and compatibility with HDMI® ARC/eARC (Audio Return Channel/Enhanced Audio Return Channel). It also supports immersive, multichannel audio streams, including the Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X advanced 5.1/7.1 channel surround sound modes.
For the most part, I can’t really test if these cables work for 8K video, but what I have used them seems to work just fine. I’ve used it running from my gaming PC to my 2K monitor so this should have no issues being used with other next-gen consoles too.
