Preordering the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra on AT&T

My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I’ve had it since around the beginning of 2021 and haven’t found the need to upgrade it in the past 3 years. It’s been one of the best phones I’ve ever owned and in the time I’ve had it, I haven’t had a single issue with it. It updates every month like it’s supposed to and it’s currently sitting on the official Android 14 update on AT&T. The Galaxy S21 series is supposed to only get 4 years of major software updates, with Android 15 likely the last. While I love the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the introduction of the Galaxy S24 Ultra excites me.

I’ll go into those things in a future post once I get my hands on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which in my case, will be less than 2 weeks from now. Instead of getting a review unit from Samsung, I’ve decided to preorder it through AT&T thanks to a generous trade-in offer they have available right now. You can trade in any old Samsung phone, any year, in any condition for $1000 off. I’m not trading in my Galaxy S21 Ultra, instead, I am trading in a really old Galaxy Note 3 I had lying around. That’s a phone that currently isn’t worth anything, so to be able to use that to get $1000 off an amazing phone is a great deal in my book. However, those credits go towards your bill for the next 36 months, which might irk some users, but not me.

I normally keep my phones longer these days, and the fact that the Galaxy S24 Ultra is getting 7 years of updates is just insane. I look forward to seeing how much better this phone is over my current Galaxy S21 Ultra, and since I’m buying this phone, you won’t have to worry about a review bias.

I should also mention that when you pre-order any Galaxy S24 series phone, you’ll automatically get double the storage for free, no matter which carrier you pre-order it from.

Of course, these offers are also available for the regular Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus. You’ll be able to get these phones without having to pay extra each month with a trade-in and only have to pay tax and activation fees.

Stay tuned.
