With the release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series comes a whole slew of new cases from many different brands. One of those brands is Incipio who was kind enough to send over several cases for the Galax S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. We’ll be taking a look at the Incipio cases for the Galaxy 24 Ultra here, mainly the Incipio Cru. and the Incipio Duo cases.
Incipio Cru. Case for the Galaxy S24 Ultra
The Incipion Cru. Case that we have here for the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the Navy Camo textile variant. This case is also made with recycled materials and features a co-mold design where the case is mostly TPU with a textile inlay. The pattern on the back is a dark navy camo which is also the color of the case itself. What’s interesting is that the camo is a bit reflective and seems to change in the light when you tilt it at different angles.
In terms of feel, the TPU doesn’t feel rubbery at all and instead has a smooth, soft feel to it.
I don’t see any specs on this for a drop rating, but the case does cover all the essentials on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, including the buttons. It has raised edges for added protection and I do like this is a fairly slim case, but still feels like it offers good protection. Like the other Incipio case, I like that the camera opening here is more fitted and isn’t just a giant rectangle.
Incipio Duo Case for the Galaxy S24 Ultra
Next up is the Incipio Duo Case for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This case series has been around for quite some time and is probably Incipio’s most durable and protective case. This is a two-piece protective case that has a hard outer shell paired with an Impact Strut layer to reduce impact force. It is made from recycled materials, rated for 12ft drop protection, and features antimicrobial technology that prevents 99.9% of surface bacteria.
I do like that there’s an inner layer to help cushion impact. I also like that the case has these little rubber feet on the back which keep the case from sliding around when placed on a table. The Incipio Duo case feels pretty good in your hands too and doesn’t feel bulky or heavy.
Overall, it’s a pretty good case, though kind of bland since it only comes in black.
FINAL THOUGHTS
These two Incipio cases are fairly good and are pretty typical of Incipio. The Duo case is probably my favorite of the two in terms of protection, though I do really like the navy camo design on the back of the Cru. case, especially how it changes in the light. Overall though, both Incipio cases provide a good amount of protection and peace of mind for anyone who has invested in a new phone.
