The Casely Power Pod is a Magsafe-compatible wireless portable charger that attaches to the back of your phone. This is stylish and compact, with a 5000mAh battery capacity and a wireless output of up to 15W. However, if your device doesn’t support MagSafe or wireless charging, don’t worry because the Casely Power Pod can be adapted to work for you.
For the most part, the Casely Power Pod is a good-looking portable charger. There are no real hard edges anywhere and most of the body has nice curves and rounded edges. The back of the Power Pod features a MagSafe-compatible magnet with a nice rubber finish for grip so the Power Pod won’t slide around. You can also get the Power Pod in a wide variety of colors and designs to match any phone or case you are using. In my case, I picked up the The Great Wave design which is part of Casely’s The Met Series of designs.
Using the Casely Power Pod is as simple as attaching it to the back of your phone and then pressing the power button on it once. This will start the charging process. To stop charging, press the power button twice to turn it off. It’s that simple. If you don’t have wireless charging on your device, you can use the included USB-C to USB-C cable. If you don’t have MagSafe or a MagSafe-compatible case, you can use the included Adhesive Magnetic Ring that is included in the box.
What’s neat is that you aren’t limited to using this on your phone only. The wireless charger works with any Qi device and can also wirelessly charge other devices such as earbuds, watches, and more. Just flip the Power Pod over and place your device on top of it.
So with that said, you can see just how versatile the Casely Power Pod is. The 5000mAh rechargeable battery should give your phone at least one extra full charge for the day and 15W output is pretty decent. I like how well made and light it feels and I appreciate that Casely has so many different colors and designs for you to choose from. However, my favorite thing about this is that I don’t need to use a cable since it wireless charges. That’s one less thing to carry around.
