Skullcandy recently updated it Active Collection with three brand new active lifestyle earbuds. We’ll be covering the Sesh ANC Active here, which slots in below the Push ANC Active and above the Push Play Active. the Sesh ANC Active features all-day battery life, sweat and waterproof construction, 4-Mic active noise canceling, and Fit Grip that keeps your earbuds in place, even during your most rigorous workouts.
DESIGN
Skullcandy’s Sesh ANC Active is built for an active lifestyle, and you can really tell by the construction of both the case and earbuds. The case is made of plastic, with the Skullcandy logo featured prominently on the top. It also features an elastic loop so you can attach it to a carabiner or a lanyard.
Moving on to the earbuds themselves, the Sesh ANC Active at first looks pretty large and possibly uncomfortable. However, that is not the case at all. The shape of the earbuds are perfectly shaped to fit inside your ear and the Fit Grip rubber pieces keep them in place.
What I like is how despite them being a bit large, they don’t feel large in your ear. I also like how they aren’t very flashy, except for the large orange Skullcandy logo on each.
EXPERIENCE
Aside from the design, I really enjoy the sound of these. There is a healthy amount of bass and treble and it seems to do well with all types of music genres. The ANC does a good job of blocking out a lot of outside noise in conjunction with the nice seal you get from the earbuds themselves.
What I’m not entirely a fan of is that I had to download yet another Skullcandy app even though I already had another app from Skullcandy for another set of earbuds. It would be great if everything just went through one app. However, if these are your only set of Skullcandy earbuds, then this not an issue then.
Lastly, the Skullcandy Sesh ANC Active charge pretty quickly when they are completely drained. You do get all day power, but if you run out, you can plug them in for 10 minutes and get 2 hours of use.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Aside from a little annoyance from having to download another app, I really enjoyed the Skullcandy Sesh ANC Active. I love how they fit and they are very comfortable to wear for long sessions. The case is also decently sized and will fit in your pocket no problem and I like that they charge via USB-C. There’s no wireless charging however.
Lastly, they sound amazing and the ANC really works well to keep the outside noises from distracting you from your music.
