There are many options for portable chargers, although few come with a built-in magnetic wireless charger. Furthermore, how many can charge five devices at once with 25,000mAh of portable power? BioLite’s new charger fits this bill perfectly and introduces its largest portable power bank to date, the BioLite Charge 100 Max.
The BioLite Charge 100 Max features the same look and feel as its other portable chargers. Its body is mostly grey with a bright yellow accent piece. The charger also has BioLite’s signature rubberized body, which makes it a bit more rugged in feel. What it isn’t is waterproof so don’t expose it to water.
What makes the Charge 100 Max a powerhouse is its built-in 2500mAh rechargeable battery and its many charging ports – (2) 100W USB-C PD, (1) 15W USB-C, (1) 15W USB-A, and (1) 15W Wireless. The USB-C PD port provides enough power to fast charge a laptop at 100W speeds. My favorite part about the charger, though, is the magnetic wireless charger. This allows me to charge my phone without the need to plug in an extra cable.
The only downside to this portable charger is the size. This is a pretty large power bank and definitely isn’t fitting in your pocket. Instead, you’ll need to carry it in your bag, which isn’t much of a problem. BioLite also states that it is FAA-compliant.
That said, I’m pretty impressed with the BioLite Charge 100 Max. While larger than what I’m used to, it’s still manageable, and I can just throw it into my travel pack. It also has enough power that I know I won’t need to recharge it until I get back home, even if I’m away for several days. While far from the smallest, it’s one of the most versatile, which is why I’ll keep this in my backpack as my main source of back up power.
