Ohsnap! is well known for its Snap 4 Luxe magnetic phone grip. It stands out because of its sleek looks, thinness, magnetic ring, and slide-to-open grip that makes holding your phone much more secure. It’s been their best-selling product for ages, but they’ve finally released a new product that could overtake that. It’s the new Snap Grip Wallet that integrates the same grip and stand functions of the original into an RFID blocking, MagSafe aluminum wallet that can hold up to 8 cards.
The Snap Grip Wallet is about the same dimensions as a credit card, just thicker. As mentioned above, it’s made of aluminum, and the one I received is coated in a deep matte black. Like other metal wallets these days, the thickness varies depending on how many cards you put in, where adding cards will expand the casing.
There are built-in magnets on both sides of the Snap Grip Wallet. One side is to stick to any MagSafe-compatible phone or case, while the other side is used to stick to a MagSafe-compatible phone holder. This side, of course, also has the same grip design as the Snap Grip. The grip easily slides open and allows for comfortable finger placement. It also functions as a stand when needed.
In terms of taking your cards out of the wallet, this is where things aren’t quite as smooth. Removing your cards while the Snap Grip Wallet is attached to your phone isn’t optimal. Instead, you need to detach the wallet and slide the cards out with your thumb using the hole on the back and then fan the cards to find the one you want to use. It’s not terrible, but it’s not the best either.
Other than that, the Snap Grip Wallet is more versatile than the regular Snap 4 Luxe. I like how multi-functional it is, allowing me to carry my essential cards securely with my phone and also act as a stable holding point for my fingers.
