SoundPEATS POP Clip Earbuds Review

SoundPEATS POP Clip Earbuds

SoundPEATS seems to be leaning into the whole open-ear “clip-on” design earbuds after the release of their PearlClip Pro. Their second product of this type is their brand new SoundPEATS POP Clip. These are similarly designed in the way they are attached to your ear, but have a slightly simpler design, but has tactile buttons, slightly different specs, and is a bit less expensive.

A big differentiating factor between the SoundPEATS POP Clip Earbuds and the PearlClip Pro is the physical button controls. Each earbud has one, and they make controlling your music much more intuitive than with touch controls. I”m normally not a fan of touch controls as they can be unreliable at times, so the inclusion of the physical buttons already one ups the PearClip Pro.

That’s not the only thing that makes the POP Clip better, in my opinion. The fit also seems better and feels much more comfortable than the PearlClip Pro did. The part that sits over your ear canal is more comfortable, and the earbud as a whole feels less bulky. With these, once you have them on, it’s easy to forget that you’re wearing them.

In terms of sound, they sound really good, despite having a smaller 10.8mm Dual-Magnet Driver than the PearlClip Pro. There’s a surprisingly good amount of bass and really clear highs and mids. Also, even though these are an open-ear design, they do a great job of filling your senses. They help drown out the outside world, but when needed, you can still hear what’s going on around you.

SoundPEATS POP Clip Earbuds

For those who like open-ear designed earbuds, the SoundPEATS POP Clip Earbuds are very good and affordable. They don’t lose out to the PearlClip Pro, and I find them to actually be more comfortable to wear. The 8 hours of playtime are also great, with an additional 22 hours from the charging case. If you do happen to run out of power while in use, charging them in the case for 15 minutes will earn 3 hours of playtime. With that said, the SoundPEATS POP Clip is a winner in my book and makes a good case for open-ear designs.
