When it comes to true wireless earbuds, the market is absolutely filled with choices. There are so many that it can be quite a headache looking for the perfect pair. Not to mention all the variations in pricing. You’ve got big named brands charging hundreds, but every now and then, a budget-friendly pair surprises you. That’s where the SOUNDPEATS Air5 Pro comes in. Featuring advanced features such as hi-res audio, Snapdragon Sound with Qualcomm, and AI adaptive noise cancellation, those looking for a wallet-friendly option that doesn’t skimp on quality, might want to give these a look.
DESIGN
The SOUNDPEATS Air5 Pro doesn’t reinvent the wheel. The charging case is small and pocketable, with a smooth matte finish that doesn’t scream “budget” at first glance. The earbuds themselves follow the familiar stem design, similar to Apple’s AirPods, but with a slightly more angular shape that gives them a bit of personality. The earbuds are dipped in a shiny black coating with bronze metallic accents down the middle. This gives them a classy, modern look.
Fit-wise, they sit comfortably in the ear without feeling loose or too snug. I wore them for a few hours at a time without any discomfort. They’re light enough that you sometimes forget you have them in, which is always a plus. The touch controls are responsive, but you might accidentally trigger them when adjusting the fit. I like to turn off the touch controls because I mainly control everything through my phone.

EXPERIENCE
Sound quality on the Air5 Pro is surprisingly good for its price. The bass has some punch, mids are clear, and the highs nice and sharp. While audiophiles might notice the finer details aren’t as crisp as more expensive models, most people will not even notice the difference and will find that the sound quality quite exceptional.
Call quality is decent, with noise reduction doing a good job of keeping your voice clear in most situations thanks to its 6-min AI Noise Reduction. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is present, but it’s more of a nice bonus than a standout feature. It dulls background noise, but don’t expect full isolation like premium models offer. There’s also a Transparent mode if you want to hear what’s going on around you.
Battery life is solid, too, with around 7.5 hours on a single charge and up to 37 hours intotal with the case. If you run out of battery, a quick 10-minute charge will get you about 2 additional hours of playtime. The case charges via USB-C, which is always nice to see on budget earbuds.

FINAL THOUGHTS
The SOUNDPEATS Air5 Pro offers a lot of bang for your buck. They’re not perfect, but for casual listening, calls, and day-to-day use, they hold their own. If you don’t want to spend a fortune but still want good sound, solid battery life, and decent ANC, the SOUNDPEATS Air5 Pro is a strong contender in the budget earbud world.
