If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably got a speaker (or two) sitting around your home that looks… well, like a speaker. Samsung decided to mix that up with the Samsung Music Frame, a unique gadget that’s both a piece of wall art and a Bluetooth speaker rolled into one.

DESIGN
Let’s start with the looks, because honestly, this is what caught my attention first. At a glance, the Music Frame just looks like a regular photo frame you’d hang up in your living room or hallway. It’s slim, stylish, and totally not an eyesore like some big boxy speakers out there. The frame itself feels solid and well-made. While it does come with a generic photo of a record, you’re able to easily swap it out for your own photo if you want to personalize your space.
The Music Frame is pretty heavy and thick, though. It’s a bit thicker than most photo frames, but not as thick as something like a shadowbox. This is so it can house the six 3-way speakers, which is incredible considering its size. Controls are also well hidden on the rear right side, but aren’t necessary since you can control everything with your phone.

EXPERIENCE
Setup is a breeze. Whether you’re pairing it to your phone via Bluetooth or connecting it to your TV as a soundbar, everything just works. I had it up and running in just a few minutes, and if you’re already in the Samsung ecosystem, it plays really nicely with other Samsung devices. Even for folks who aren’t super techy, Samsung’s app and simple instructions make it practically foolproof.
For those who aren’t sure where they might place the Music Frame, Samsung makes it simple by including an array of different mounting options. You can mount this to the wall using the included brackets and hardware, or use the stand and place the Music Frame on a flat surface. In my case, I used the stand and placed the Music Frame on my bookshelf.

SOUND QUALITY
I wasn’t sure what to expect from a flat speaker that hides in plain sight, but color me impressed. The Music Frame pumps out audio that’s clear, rich, and surprisingly loud for its size. It handles everything from podcasts to party playlists without any distortion! Not only that, there’s a surprisingly good amount of deep bass it cranks out. It can easily fill a room with quality audio, and no one would know where the sound is coming from.
A big thing here is the “invisible” factor. Your guests will be surprised when they realize the picture on the wall or sitting on your table is actually hiding a speaker. It’s cool, and it keeps your space looking neat and uncluttered.

FINAL THOUGHTS
The Samsung Music Frame is perfect for anyone who wants good sound without making their living room look like a tech store. It’s easy enough for anyone to set up and use, sounds great, and brings a little wow factor to your decor.
I should mention that the Samsung Music Frame is compatible with a variety of services such as SmartThings, Q-Symphony, AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Tap Sound, and Wireless Dolby ATMOS. You can even use plain Bluetooth.
Overall, the Samsung Music Frame is a fantastic-sounding speaker that blends into your home and doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.
