Portable storage solutions come in all different shapes and sizes. Some are more portable than others, and not all have the same build quality. PNY, a prolific maker of storage solutions, has flash drives in all different shapes and storage sizes. However, one of their top-end lines is the PRO Elite series with the newest being the PNY 1.0TB PRO Elite V3 3.2 Gen 2 flash drive.
The PNY PRO Elite V3 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Flash Drive isn’t your run-of-the-mill cheap flash drive you buy because you’re giving them away. Instead, this is a heady-duty flash drive built from premium metal with an easy to use sliding mechanism that keeps the port end of the flash drive protected when not in use.
In terms of speed, you’re looking at up to 1000MB/s read speeds and 800MB/s write speeds. This is great for storing large files and videos that would normally take a lot longer to transfer with slower drives. With 1.0TB of storage, that is plenty of space for all your music, videos, and documents. I probably wouldn’t use it for installing games on, but for files, it’s perfect.
Overall, the PNY 1.0TB PRO Elite V3 3.2 Gen 2 flash drive is a pretty good portal storage device for files. The speeds seem faster than other flash drives of similar specs, and the pricing isn’t bad either. Other than that, you’ll probably be impressed with its solid build, thanks to the all-metal construction. I’m just happy there isn’t a cap that can get lost.
