When we mention Urban Armor Gear here, we are usually speaking about their iconic cases. I’ve been using their cases for years now and have always been happy with them, mainly their build quality, looks, and ability to keep my phone protected. That’s why when I saw that they also make accessories, I jumped at the chance to check out their UAG Civilian Wrist Tether Lanyard and their new Magnetic Ring Stand.

UAG Civilian Wrist Tether Lanyard

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a case or had a case with a lanyard attachment to it, but the UAG Civilian Wrist Tether Lanyard can add this to almost any case. How it works is you insert the “lanyard card” on the inside of the case with the lanyard attachment on the outside. You can run this through the hole that is meant for the charging port. This gives you a place to attach the Civilian Wrist Tether Lanyard.

Once the Civilian Wrist Tether Lanyard is attached, you can adjust its sizing to fit your wrist. The strap itself is a high-quality woven polyester that is a sleek 7mm thick so you know it can withstand an active lifestyle. This is a really nice-looking wrist tether that offers a secure way to hold onto your phone.

UAG Magnetic Ring Stand

One of the cooler accessories UAG has released is the Magnetic Ring Stand. This only works for cases that include the MagSafe-compatible ring and a really strong hold when attached. This essentially adds a ring to the back of your phone so you can hold your phone more securely and it also acts as a stand that can be used in landscape or portrait mode.

What I like about it is the solid all-metal construction and the really strong magnets. You’re also able to rotate the Magnetic Ring Stand 360 degrees so it can be positioned in any way. I love the way it looks and the functionality it adds to any MagSafe-compatible case.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Both the UAG Civilian Wrist Tether Lanyard and their new Magnetic Ring Stand are excellent additions to the UAG line and add something extra to their already fantastic cases. If I had to choose, I’d definitely go with the Magnetic Ring Stand mainly because of just how versatile it is. Just make sure you are using a case that can accommodate it.
