You’ve probably heard that installing Halo: Reach will drastically reduce load times and tests have shown that this is indeed true. I myself just installed Halo: Reach to my Xbox 360 hard drive only to discover that the install takes up a whopping 6.6GB of space!

If you own either the new 4GB Xbox 360 Slims your pretty much out of luck while the older 20GB Xbox 360 Pros will either need to free up some space if you don’t have any or upgrade to a larger HD.

It’s not necessary to do the install. It’s just more of a convenience.
