Last night fellow TGWK’s contributor, Doriftu and I tried to play a game of multiplayer LittleBigPlanet 2. After 30 minutes of trying, we gave up. You see, we encountered an “infinite loading” bug when either of us were trying to join another’s game. On my end, all I would see is the loading screen infinitely loading but on his end, I am in the game but just standing around like a moron not doing anything. Same thing happened when he tried to join my game. (On a side note, I took this opportunity to slap him around a bit and sticker up his Sackboy.) So we gave up.

Today, Joystiq reported that it is an issue many are encountering and there is a temporary fix. If you get stuck on the load screen, just turn your controller off. After which, the level will load up like normal and you’ll finally be in the game. At that point, turn your controller back on.

Luckily, the developers Media Molecule knows about the bug and seem to already have a fix in the works. I’m looking forward to it as LittleBigPlanet 2 really is a fantastic game.
