Baby Piano is children friendly virtual piano from developer Dream Cortex. Part of the Baby Cortex collection, Baby Piano is about introducing young children to the joys of music by offering a fun and creative take on your typical piano. Baby Piano is an 8-key, rainbow colored piano. Each key is also represented by a cute animated animal. What set’s this kid-friendly virtual piano apart from the rest is that this one actually does teach kids how to play some basic songs with the ability to record and playback what they did.

There are three different modes to Baby Piano. There is free play mode where kids can just go at it and play whatever their hearts desire. The next mode is where kids follow along with the blinking keys to play an actual song. The last mode is really for babies where touching on any of the keys regardless of the notes they play will yield and actual song. That means that it automatically plays the correct note for you even if you are pressing the wrong keys.

Baby Piano also allows notes to be played as animal noises or solfège syllables. This makes the app funner for young children and helps cut down on the repetition. It’s also funny hearing animal noises as you are playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Baby Piano is a wonderful virtual piano for children. The colorful graphics and cute animals will really appeal to them. What’s great about this app is the fact that they use real piano sounds as well as also including the solfège syllable for each key. There are plenty of songs that children can learn with this as well with more songs that you can get with in-app purchasing.
