Melon Truck is a physics based melon shooting game from developer Batuhan Akalin. The game itself is very easy to pick up and understand. Basically you have to shoot melons from your truck into different baskets of various worth. In order to pass each level however, you must get a score over 1600 to proceed. Melon Truck can be a challenging game, but it can also be quite fun to play as well.

Each level gives you three melons to shoot. By adjusting the angle and speed, you must get each melon into any number of baskets in order to score a total of 1600 points or more. It may sound easy, but scattered through the level are also negative points that take away from your total. You just have to make sure to avoid those or get a high enough score where a few negative points wont matter.

There is a lot of trial and error with Melon Truck where most of the time, you’ll be testing out different angles and power settings in order to get the highest score. Once you find the correct one, just launch the other remaining melons with the same settings. It’s really not that hard, just requires multiple tries per level. Sometimes you get lucky though and find the correct setting on the first shot.

Melon Truck is a fun game for players of all ages. Younger players might not understand the whole concept of angles and speed, but they’ll still have fun playing it in their own way. The graphics are crisp and colorful and look really good on the Retina Display. The art style however could use some improving but overall, its a good looking game. If there’s one thing I would add to the game, I’d love to see a guide line for how the melon will travel when shot, that way the game would be a bit easier for younger players and maybe they’d understand the concept of adjusting angles and speed a bit more.
