Moobaa is a children’s app from developer Reflx. It is a simple app designed for very young children who are just learning about animals and their corresponding sounds that they make. Moobaa features art from Danish artist Pia Olsen with animations done by Reflx.

The app itself is very basic. Start it an an illustration of the animal pops up. Click it and the animal makes a sound and  moves. Swipe left or right to move on to the next animal and tap again to make noises. Very simple and very easy for young children to pick up and play. Right now, there are only 10 animals included in the app. It’s a very small number and hopefully for future updates, they’ll add more. In terms of fun however, small children will like the sounds the app makes and the illustrations are very cute. If you have very young children, they’ll probably enjoy this app as all you’ll need to really do is tap and swipe. It’s very repetitive but that’s how young children learn and they don’t really seem to mind.

Moobaa is available in the App Store for free but will be $0.99 soon. It is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.Requires iOS 4.0 or later.
