id America Liquid Case for iPhone 5 Review

Here we go again. Another week, another new iPhone 5 case and to all you people out there who think that the new iPhone 5 doesn’t need a case, I laugh when you drop and either scratch, dent, or shatter some part on it. Yes the phone looks gorgeous without a case, but for most of us who like to trade up every year or 2 to a new device, keeping your current device as mint as possible will yield you the highest trade in value when it’s time to upgrade. With that said, yes, I’m always constantly changing out my cases mainly because I get bored with them so often and because I somehow always seem to find something better than the one I’m currently using. So for current flavor of the month, I’m using id America’s new Liquid case for the iPhone 5. The one I’m currently using is the Matte White version which complements my white iPhone 5 quite nicely.

The id America Liquid is made from a flexible thermoplastic polyurethane fits very well on the iPhone 5 unlike silicone cases which can usually feel really loose. Because the case itself isn’t hard like a polycarbonate case, the Liquid provides additional shock absorption when dropped and won’t crack or break. Another huge plus for me here is that the case actually goes all the way around the edges and even helps protect the screen a bit and features a lay flat design which keeps the screen elevated. It has all the necessary openings but  does cover up the volume buttons and sleep/wake button for added protection, but still being fully functional.

Now, if you’re looking for a case with color, the Liquid has that covered as well. It’s available in 18 different variations and can be had in either a glossy finish, matte finish, or a solid finish. I prefer the matte as it has a better feel to it and I’m still able to see the Apple logo through the rear.

You can pick up an id America Liquid directly from their website here and it only costs $14.95 which is a really good price. It however does not come with a screen protector like previous id America cases did, but you can purchase those separately too on their site for $7.95. Overall, I’m very happy with this case as it’s very stealth in the matte white and I feel better protected then I would using just a simple snap on case.
