If you’re the type of person who likes building cities and new lands, you may want to give A Little Land a chance. Developed by Twilight Software, A Little Land allows you to contribute to a massive online world where you can create and add onto a a massive continent and fill it with inhabitants, foliage, buildings, and terrain. You do this all in real time with others who are also playing, as the entire land is saved in the cloud. This means that no matter where you are an what device you’re using, your additions will always be there. What’s neat too is that you can even spectate and view what’s being added to the world online through your browser.
This isn’t really a game in the normal sense. It’s really just a fun way to pass the time by adding to this existing world in the cloud. Again, you can create new lands or add upon what is already there. You can create lands of different terrain while also placing different kinds of buildings and plants to occupy the space. You can even populate your land with inhabitants. Each can have a unique look. In fact, that’s one of the neat things about A Little Land. You can customize the way everything looks.
You use coins to build things and you can run out, but luckily you can also collect a whole bunch of coins. You do this by moving around the world and destroying the bad “avatars” that are annoying the citizens. Each one you get will give you 1 coin. You can also collect coins that are floating around.
For the most part, that’s all there is to A Little Land. There aren’t any mini games to play or puzzles to solve. You just build and collect. Add to the world in the cloud and watch it grow into something huge and alive. It’s kind of neat being able to add to this world so if you’re the building type who likes to contribute, give A Little Land a look. You might discover an enjoyable experience.
