Swapsies Sports is a mix ‘n match puzzle game with a sports theme to it. Basically what your kids will be doing is dressing up either a boy or girl in a number of different uniforms from different sports. It’s up to them to match the correct pieces of each uniform to complete the puzzle. Once they do, they have the option of playing a fun little mini-game based on that sport. There are 10 sports in total to choose from – football, basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, golf, tennis, boxing, cycling and skateboarding. If players want, they can even mix and match uniform pieces just for fun to create something new and exciting.

There are two different game modes children and play. There is the mix ‘n match game where they’ll be able to mix and match uniform pieces. Match up all the correct pieces and they will be able to play the corresponding mini-game. Of course they don’t have to play the mix up game if they don’t want and can go directly to the mini-games section to play each of the different sports’ mini-games. The other game mode is quiz me. In this game mode, players are asked questions having to do with  a specific sport. It’s up to the player to answer the question correctly, whether it be choosing the correct equipment used by a player or choosing objects based on color for instance. This is actually a pretty neat way for children to get to know their different sports.

Graphically, the game looks pretty good with very cute animations and representations of each sport. Everything is real bright and colorful and I do think that children will like this. The game also has plenty of audio stimulation as well from sound effects to a very lively narrator.

As for the mini-games, they’re nothing too challenging. They are just basic games to kind of get the feel of what each sport is about. Again, cute for little children and making it simple and easy to play will get them interested about the sport.

Swapsies Sports is an entertaining app for children. It’s almost like a dress up game of sorts, but having to do with sports and they throw in some simple, yet fun mini-games. The quiz me mode is also quite fun and will teach children some basic sports knowledge to get them started. Overall, I give it two thumbs up for originality and fun. I think young children will enjoy this and have a good time with it.
