If you’ve played any of the previous HeyHey apps before, then you know that their apps are really unique and different. All are based on the street art work of Bue the Warrior and the latest app, HeyHey Match is no different. HeyHey Match is a mix and match game that features character designs by Bue. The premise of the game is to match the heads and bodies of different animals, people, and colors. There are four different modes to play and each is more difficult than the other.
The game is very simple to play and easy enough for most children to just pick up and play. Basically all you do is swipe the different body parts left and right and try to match them up to their correct parts. Each animal or character you get correct, the app will say their names and what they are. When the entire set of puzzles is completed, you’ll be taken to the high score screen to see how fast you did the puzzles in. Try to beat your quickest time each time you play.
The quirkiness of the app comes from the wonderfully strange music and voices played through out the game as well as the awesome artwork by Bue the Warrior. At the end of each match, you also have a chance to playback all the characters you helped match. This too is where the weirdness lies and you’ll be treated to more great artwork and strange little video clips. All of it very fun though.
As with previous games, HeyHey Match is again another really creative app from HeyHey Apps. Everything about the app screams fun and even though it’s a simple mix and match game, children will really enjoy it for the colorfully weird characters to the amazingly strange audio tracks and voices. Oh and before I forget, you can actually customize all the audio aspects of the game and record your own. Than means that when they make a match, instead of having the default voices, you can use your own, which I find very neat. Overall, HeyHey really goes the extra length to make a great app.

HeyHey Match offers a tool to get the family creative.At first glance HeyHey Match looks like a basic Mix and Match puzzle. Offering 4 different puzzles, each more difficult then the other.
Children can match animals, people or colours. If they match the correct head, body and legs, the character disappears and his name is pronounced.
Once they clear all characters in a puzzle, they get to a reward screen where they are rewarded for solving the puzzle. The reward is a short movie or picture that relates to the selected character. And this is where the real fun starts.We were kind enough to include some defaults, but the idea is that parents, together with their children, go to the sound and vision screen and replace these defaults with their own creations. There are pdf files available on the HeyHey Apps site that contain all the heads of the characters which can be cut out and used as masks.
Cut out the bear mask and go into the woods to record your little one roaring form behind the trees, or get him next to a police car dressed as Officer Butch. Jean-Jacques Patati can easily be filmed when you go to swim with the little one and who does not know how to imitate a monkey.
All sounds in the app can be changed as well, which allows parents to transform HeyHey Match in an educational tool to practice vocabulary. Kindergarden teachers can build a lesson on HeyHey Match, stimulating the toddlers creativity. The possibilities are endless.
3 to 5 year olds can then have fun seeing themselves and their family in the rewards screen.
