New PS Vita Model Confirmed for US, Included in Borderlands 2 Bundle

For those who have been waiting for this news, Sony finally announced that the new model PS Vita slim (PCH-2000 series) will finally be coming to N. America this Spring. What’s especially interesting about this announcement is that the version we get here will come as a bundle pack and include an 8GB memory card and Borderlands 2! Note that this isn’t just the base game for Borderlands 2 either. The game will include all 6 DLC packs! This will be a limited edition bundle and if it’s anything like the previous holiday bundle, they’ll probably go pretty quickly.

The new model PS Vita will still go for $199.99 in this bundle which is a great value for what you are getting. Note that the new model PS Vita will be Wi-Fi only, is approximately 20-percent slimmer and 15-percent lighter than the original version, has a 5-inch front touchscreen has a new high-definition liquid crystal display (LCD), and an increase of 4-6 hours of game play.

Update: A quick check on Amazon shows that it should be available March 18th and you can already pre-order it on their site. If you are one of those who likes pre-ordering, you can do so here: Borderlands 2 – Limited Edition – PlayStation Vita Bundle.
