Apple’s iPod Touch Now Starts at $199 for 16GB Edition

There is still a place for the iPod Touch. While most adults these days just buy an iPhone, I still see the iPod Touch as the perfect entry level iOS device for children who might not be old enough yet for a phone of their own. The iPod Touch gives them all the benefits of an iPhone, just without support for making phone calls and use of cellular data. The price of entry now is a lot cheaper starting today with Apple introducing a new $199 16GB iPod Touch. This isn’t a stripped down version either as it now includes a rear iSight camera and can be purchased in 6 different colors. Not only that, the 32GB and 64GB editions have also been reduced in price.

You can purchase the new lower cost iPod Touch starting today here.
