Kuro Jump Review on iOS

KuroJump_iconNot everyone has time to play complicated games or games that require a ton of instruction before you’re able to even play them. Some of us just want a game that is quick, fun, and easy, yet still challenging enough to keep us coming back for more. Kuro Jump is just such a game. Don’t be fooled by the cute icon thinking this game is just for kids. Kuro Jump can be quite challenging, even for adults and you’ll probably find yourself glued to your smartphone trying to beat your last score.

Kuro Jump is a simple game in theory. Jump your whale to save the fish by popping the bubbles. Watch out for the octopus though and jump over them to avoid them. The game uses a simple two button control scheme. There is a 1X jump button to jump one space at a time and a 2X jump button to jump two spaces. You’ll have to use the 2X jump to jump over the octopuses. Classic, Time, and Hard mode are time based games that challenge how many fish you can free. Rush more challenges you by seeing how many fish you can free before stepping on an octopus. All 4 modes are similar to each other, but offer slightly different gameplay. All are fun however and will test your hand-eye coordination.

Graphically, it’s a rather cute game with simple, colorful graphics. It looks good though and is very suitable for both adults and children. The simple graphics also keep the game speedy and less distracting. Audio wise, the game too uses rather cute sounds, mainly the sounds of children saying things.

Overall, Kuro Jump is a fun and easy game that is also challenging to play. It’s a casual game for sure and one that I think most people would enjoy since it’s so easy to pick up but hard to put down.
