I usually like jumping straight into a game when I first fire it up so it was pretty surprising when the first 10 minutes of Far Cry 4 is a cutscene. Usually games will mix a tutorial in with the cutscene that allows some interactivity early on, but not here. This is a straight up video that you watch for 10 minutes before you’re even able to take control of your character.

On the plus side, the cutscene does a really great job of introducing you to Pagan Min and the civil unrest going on in Kyrat.
