ZomBeHead Review [iOS]

zombehead_iconI was a little hesitant at first to try out ZomBeHead because the screenshots from their app page and the trailer video really didn’t show me much of what the gameplay was like. I usually don’t like downloading games like that because they end up not being what you expect, but decided to download it anyways because it had zombies in it and it’s hard for me to pass up anything with zombies.

The game is basically whack-a-mole, but with zombies. It’s a fast twitch game where you must only whack the zombie animals and not the living ones. You don’t have very much time to make your choice, less than a split second, otherwise the zombies will bite and cost you a life. Depending on which character you use will determine the number of lives you have. As you progress through the game, the number of holes increases in which zombies can pop out of. This also makes the game much more intense and hectic later.

Graphically, the game has that cartoon cutout look to it that South Park made famous.

Overall, ZomBeHead isn’t that bad of a game. It’s one of those mindless games that’s really more there to waste time than anything. It’s great for training your hand-eye coordination and the fast paced nature of the game really gives your fingers a workout.

The name of the game ZomBehead! is a combination of Behead and Zombie (Behead the Zombie!). Said aloud, it sounds like Zombie-Head, which is perfectly within the ambience of the game.
