Whoosh! Screen Shine Cleaner Review

Every year, smartphone and tablet screens seem to grow in size and with that size growth also comes improvements to how these screens look. They are simply gorgeous to look at now with barely any visible pixels. It’s a shame then that we have to touch these screens with our greasy, oily fingers and ruin something that looks that good. While many new screens have an oil-resistant coating now, our screens still get covered in grease marks and there’s not much we can do about it except clean them. Using just a “rag” doesn’t really work that well and you don’t want to use any chemical based cleaners that might strip the oil-resistant coating. Even using water to clean doesn’t really get rid of greasy oil smudges. So what’s a person to do?

This is where specialized cleaners like the Whoosh! Screen Shine Cleaner comes in. Whoosh! is a 100% natural, non-hazardous, non-toxic and environmentally friendly cleaner made especially for your screens and devices. Whoosh! not only cleans your device but also cleans away all the gross stuff that can build up on your device like germs and viruses that can get your sick. Whoosh! calls it ‘Tech Hygiene.’

Does it work? I can’t really say whether or not Whoosh! gets rid of germs or viruses by just looking at at a freshly cleaned screen, but what I can tell you is that it sure does get it clean. Just spray a bit of Whoosh! on your screen and wipe it away with the included anti-microbial, microfiber clean cloth (protected by Cliniweave  Antimicrobial Technology). The cleaning solution is easy to wipe off and leaves a smudge free shine on your screen. Whoosh! is also odorless so you don’t get that funky cleaner smell you get with other solutions.

Supposedly, the natural proprietary polymer formula will repels and resists dust, smudges and fingerprints. I’m not so sure this is 100% effective as some people out there have some really dirty, oily fingers. I personally wash my hands quite often and they feel fairly dry throughout the day. After applying the Whoosh!, I do notice slightly less smudges, but they’re still there. I also notice that it is easier to wipe off those smudges with a regular cleaning cloth or even your shirt than it would have been without the Whoosh!

Whether or not Whoosh! gets rid of germs is unknown to me and not something I can really test. All I know is that Whoosh! delivers and unbelievably clean shine when I do use it and I actually keep it on my desk at work now to give my phone a little spray and a wipe down to keep it looking fresh and clean.

There are 3 ways you can buy Whoosh! You can get it in a tiny Pocket Edition (0.3 FL OZ / 8 mL), a Go Edition (1 FL OZ / 30mL), and a Duo+ Edition (which includes the Pocket Edition and a giant 3.4 FL OZ / 100ml bottle). Each version of the Whoosh! Screen Shine comes with the anti-microbial, microfiber clean cloth. The Duo+ Edition comes with two of them.
