Some of the most addicting games on mobile are casual games. Are they the best games out there? Probably not, but there’s no denying the fact that there are tons of mindlessly fun games out there that only require simple swipes or taps to keep you coming back for more. One of those games is Surfingers, part of a long list of “endless runner” style games meant to keep you busy by challenging you to see how far you can go.

Most of the these endless runner type games are all the same with you controlling the player to avoid obstacles. Surfingers is a little different  where you’re more like altering the actual environment because it’s the environment itself that provides the danger. Slide your finger up and down to move the current “wave” you’re on to match the one that is coming up. It sounds easier than it really is. Not only do you need to line waves up, you also need to avoid potential dangers too by moving waves over or below them.

Along with avoiding obstacles, you can also collect stars scattered throughout your run. Stars are used for unlocking new surfer skins which can also be unlocked by completing distance challenges. There are some odd quirks with the game however. You’ll discover that sometimes you’ll be able to continue a run after a wipe out if you watch an ad, but this isn’t all the time. It’s pretty random when this happens.

Other than that, Surfingers is a fairly addicting endless runner. It’s challenging, but not too challenging and the pacing is also is fast, but not too fast. It’s also not frustrating like many of the other games are of this type. It’s challenging without feeling like the game is trying to cheat you.
